 LACE UP YOUR SHOES!

  • Exercise is essential for the socialization of dogs as it stimulates their mind and body and helps build social skills.
  • Regular exercise provides opportunities for interaction with other dogs and humans, allowing dogs to learn proper social behaviors and develop essential skills.

CUSTOM CHARITABLE GIVING SOLUTIONS

Community Foundation of Northern Nevada

For more than 20 years, we’ve helped Northern Nevadans give in meaningful, impactful, & confidential ways.

Supporting L.A.S.S.O. through Legacy Giving

Legacy giving, sometime referred to as planned giving, is a type of charitable donation where a donor leaves a gift to a nonprofit as part of their estate plan.

What Can You Give?

Legacy gifts can come from a variety of assets, including trusts, retirement accounts, life insurance policies, real estate, and appreciated assets.

Why Should you Consider a Legacy Gift?

  • Tax Benefits: Charitable donations made through your estate may reduce estate taxes, helping to minimize the tax burden on your heirs.
  • Flexibility: You can specify the amount and type of assets you want to donate (cash, property, investments, etc.),
  • Control: You set the timing of distributions (a one-time lump sum or payable over a period of years) and can even designate use of the funds.

How Does It Work?

The Community Foundation of Northern Nevada will work with you and your professional advisor to create a legacy plan that fulfills your charitable goals.

Exciting Announcement

The City of Elko Animal Shelter is incredibly proud to announce that, for the first time in our history, we have achieved a SAVE Rate  for our animals to be considered a “No-Kill”  Animal Shelter.

The Elko Animal Shelter & LASSO have worked tirelessly this year to save as many pets as possible

As we reflect on 2024, we are proud of what we accomplished and all the lives that we saved but the need continues to grow. We want to be there to help the pets and people that need us in 2025 – will you join us?
